12.10.2011 - Solar branch, comeback this year?

When in 1995 photovoltaic was introduced as an alternative way of power generation, no one believed that it could compete with established nuclear reactors and coal power stations.

8 years later in 2003, people suddenly realized which potential solar cells held and everyone wanted to profit from this "future technology". A steady increase in demand of solar shares from 2003 to 2008 was the consequence.

Even the holy solar branch could not escape the financial crisis in 2008 (although delayed), and still has not recovered. The hyped industrial sector of solar energy has lost 90% of its value from 2008 to - today.

We know for a fact that nuclear energy will not last forever and after events of Tchernobyl and Fukushima the question is raised why we tolerate the dangers. Germany stopped all of its nuclear reactors after Fukushima incident.

It is clear that renewable energies like solar power are still the "future". Even after almost 15 years of solar power this technology has not unfolded its capabilities.

After this words of fundamental analysis,  we will have a look at the price chart one of the three leading solar companies in the world, Solarworld.

Indicators turned red, meaning the share is oversold, meaning a turn of events - as in 2003.

Keep in mind that a trend change for this share might take up to one year!

There is an important resistance level at 2 points. Investments should only be made if this barrier is tested successfully. If that should be the case, a longterm growth will follow.
